Chia Seed Pudding

A powerhouse of nutrients, chia seeds are a great addition to your child's diet. Chia seed pudding couldn't get any easier either, with only a few simple and healthy ingredients. Add some fruit puree or sliced fruit to the recipe and feel free to make it your own.

Servings 4 people

  • 2 Cups Coconut milk (full fat)
  • 1 TBSP Maple Syrup / Rice Malt Syrup / Golden Syrup
  • 125 ml Chia Seeds (for thick consistency)
  • 100 ml Chia Seeds (for a runnier consistency - ideal for the Pouchee)

  • Combine all the ingredients and stir immediately until well combined.
  • Place in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes. The chia seeds will become gelatinous and absorb the liquid. The refrigeration is only required for taste. Feel free to add this to lunch boxes or a Pouchee in the morning. The pudding will be ready by lunch time and still tastes great.
  • Add a fruit puree, compote or freshly sliced fruit to the chia seed pudding or simply enjoy it as is.
